Brushed & Burned Oak Flooring
An original in its own right, Broadleaf Brushed & Burned Oak flooring has set the standard for reclaimed style oak flooring for over a decade. Created using a unique process that authentically ages each board in the same way as years of wear, it is a fabulous alternative to reclaimed Oak flooring with none of the risks or fitting complications.
Each plank is individually aged to remove the summer wood and naturally darken it from edge to centre as occurs over decades of wear. In this way we create unique wood floors that offer a range of styles, from gently aged to centuries old. These are then treated by hand with a variety of organic colours and oils to create a choice of aesthetics from C16th mansion to urban loft, and sealed with a hard wearing, matt satin hardwax oil finish.
Brushed & Burned Oak floors are available in a choice of Traditional Solid Oak boards and Strata, our Solid Oak Engineered boards in a choice of widths and generous lengths, most of which can be used over underfloor heating in line with our installation guidelines. They are made as standard on our Cottage Oak and feature both large and small knots as well as a spectrum of natural colour variation.
